Cozzzi Trifold Foldable Mattress - Lightweight Portable Floor Mattress for Travel, Removable Cover, Compact Storage, Adults & Kids (75x25x4in)

Product Overview

The Cozzzi Trifold Mattress measures 75 inches long by 25 inches wide by 4 inches thick when fully expanded. It weighs approximately 10.21 pounds, making it relatively lightweight for transport. The mattress arrives compressed in vacuum-sealed packaging and requires time to fully expand after opening. It features a tri-fold design with three equal sections that fold together for compact storage. Two handles on one side facilitate carrying when folded. The cover is made from a woven knit material that some users describe as silky but prone to snagging. It zips off completely for machine washing, though the inner foam core should not be washed. The mattress is marketed for both adults and children, with age range descriptions including teens. While designed as a portable solution, its folded dimensions still require considerable storage space. Some users note it fits well in vehicle cargo areas for road trips. The firm high-density foam construction provides support without the deflation issues common with air mattresses.

Design & Build

The Cozzzi Trifold Mattress features a straightforward tri-fold design with three equal sections that fold together. When unfolded, it creates a 75-inch by 25-inch sleeping surface with 4 inches of thickness. The construction centers around high-density foam that provides the primary support structure. This foam arrives compressed in vacuum-sealed packaging and requires several hours to fully expand to its intended dimensions. The outer cover is made from a woven knit fabric that zips completely around the foam core. Some users describe this fabric as having a silky texture that feels pleasant against skin. However, multiple reviewers note the material can snag easily, particularly when used in rough environments or with pets. The zipper runs along three sides of the cover, allowing complete removal for washing. Handles are sewn into one side of the folded mattress for carrying convenience.

Maintenance is relatively simple with the removable cover design. Users report successfully washing the cover in standard washing machines, though they recommend zipping all closures first and using gentle cycles. The inner foam core should never be submerged in water or placed in washing machines. When storing the mattress, it can be folded into its tri-fold configuration and placed upright against walls to save floor space. The folded dimensions are approximately 25 inches by 25 inches by 12 inches, though this varies slightly based on how tightly it's compressed. Some users mention creating additional protective covers from sheets to prevent snagging of the original fabric. The overall build quality receives mixed feedback, with most praising the foam comfort but some expressing concerns about long-term durability and potential fiberglass issues in certain units.

Performance

In terms of comfort, many users report the Cozzzi mattress provides surprisingly good support for a portable option. The high-density foam offers firmness that some compare to traditional mattress firmness levels. Several reviewers mention falling asleep easily on it and sleeping through portions of the night comfortably. The 4-inch thickness provides adequate cushioning from hard floors, though some larger individuals may desire more padding. Unlike air mattresses that commonly deflate overnight, this foam mattress maintains consistent support throughout use. Users appreciate not needing to reinflate it periodically. The mattress performs well as a temporary sleeping solution for guests, camping trips, or unexpected overnight situations. It provides noticeable improvement over sleeping directly on floors or using thin sleeping pads.

However, performance limitations exist. Some users find the mattress insufficiently comfortable for regular daily use, particularly those with back issues or over age 40. The process of getting down to and up from floor level can be challenging for some individuals. Storage requirements are substantial even when folded, with the tri-fold configuration taking up several cubic feet of space. Temperature regulation receives little mention in reviews, though the foam construction likely provides some insulation from cold floors. A significant concern raised by one reviewer involves potential fiberglass particles in the mattress liner contaminating living spaces. This represents a serious performance and safety issue that potential buyers should consider. Most users report satisfactory performance for occasional use scenarios, but expectations should align with its portable, temporary nature rather than permanent bedding solutions.
