The bed frame is constructed from premium steel with a reinforced structure, supporting up to 300 pounds according to the specifications, though the manufacturer mentions a 450-pound capacity. When folded, the bed reduces to a compact 12.8-inch thickness for storage under beds, in closets, or against walls. It includes four 360-degree swivel wheels for easy movement between rooms. The bed comes with a dust-proof storage cover to protect it when not in use. Assembly is required but is described as straightforward with included tools and instructions, typically taking about 15 minutes. The mattress may have a slight odor when first unpacked, which is normal for new memory foam and dissipates with ventilation. Care instructions recommend wiping with a dry cloth for cleaning.

Design & Build

The Mexin Folding Bed features a practical design centered around a sturdy steel frame that provides a stable foundation for the memory foam mattress. The frame uses reinforced joints and a robust structure to ensure it can support adult sleepers without wobbling or sagging. When unfolded, the bed measures 75 inches in length, 31.5 inches in width, and 17.3 inches in height, offering a comfortable sleeping area similar to a standard twin bed. The mattress is 5 inches thick and made from memory foam that contours to the body, though it may have a slight odor when first unpacked, which is common with new foam products. The bed includes a cotton upholstery fabric that is breathable and easy to clean with a dry cloth. Four 360-degree swivel wheels are attached to the frame, allowing the bed to be rolled smoothly across floors for easy repositioning.

The folding mechanism is designed for simplicity and space efficiency. When folded, the bed collapses to a slim 12.8-inch thickness, making it easy to store in tight spaces like under a bed, in a closet, or against a wall. A dust-proof storage cover is included to protect the bed from dust and debris when not in use. Assembly is required but is straightforward, with reviewers noting it can be done in minutes using the provided tools and instructions. The bed weighs 45.6 pounds, which is manageable for most adults to move when folded. The overall build prioritizes durability and ease of use, with a focus on providing a reliable temporary sleeping solution that can be set up and stored away quickly.

Performance

In terms of comfort, the 5-inch memory foam mattress performs well for a folding bed, providing adequate support and pressure relief according to reviewers. Many users report that the bed is comfortable for overnight sleep, with the foam conforming to the body to reduce discomfort. The sturdy steel frame ensures stability during use, with no significant shaking or noise reported by most users. The bed handles weight effectively, supporting up to 300 pounds as per specifications, though the manufacturer claims a higher capacity of 450 pounds. Reviewers note that the bed feels solid and secure, making it suitable for adult guests or regular use in temporary settings. The folding mechanism works smoothly, allowing the bed to be set up and taken down quickly without complicated steps.

For storage and portability, the bed excels due to its compact folded size and included wheels. It can be easily rolled into a storage area and takes up minimal space, which is ideal for small apartments or multi-purpose rooms. The dust-proof cover helps keep the bed clean during storage. Some reviewers mention that assembly can be challenging if done alone, and a few reported missing parts like the cover, but overall, the bed performs reliably for its intended purpose. The mattress may require some time to fully expand and air out after unpacking, but once set up, it provides a comfortable sleeping surface. The bed's performance in real-world use is consistent with its design as a convenient, space-saving guest bed that balances comfort with practicality.
