Milliard Toddler Nap Mat Bed Tri Folding Mattress with Washable Cover Review
The Milliard Tri Folding Mattress is a portable sleeping solution designed primarily for toddlers and young children. This 3-inch thick foam mattress folds into a compact size for easy storage and transport, making it ideal for daycare centers, travel, guest rooms, or temporary sleeping arrangements. The product features a removable, machine-washable cover that simplifies maintenance and hygiene. With CertiPUR-US certified foam that's low in VOCs and free of heavy metals, parents can feel confident about safety. Reviewers consistently praise its comfort and convenience, noting it's suitable not just for children but also for small adults and even pets during road trips. The mattress unfolds quickly to provide a comfortable sleeping surface and folds back just as easily when not in use.
Product Overview
The Milliard Tri Folding Mattress measures 57 inches long by 24 inches wide by 3 inches thick when fully expanded. When folded, it reduces to approximately 24 inches by 19 inches by 9 inches, creating a compact package that stores easily in closets, car trunks, or under beds. The product is specifically marketed for toddlers and kids, though many reviewers report successful use by small adults up to approximately 5 feet tall. The mattress consists of a single layer of medium-firmness foam that reviewers describe as comfortable and supportive. The removable cover is made from ultra-soft material that protects the foam core and can be machine washed when soiled. Some users note that standard crib sheets don't fit perfectly, leading them to use alternative covers like stretchy sofa cushion covers or custom-made sheets. The mattress is not customizable or electric, focusing instead on simple, portable functionality. While the product doesn't include a carrying case, Milliard offers one separately (search for B07ZP9TVRF on Amazon), which many reviewers recommend purchasing for complete portability.

Design & Build
The Milliard Tri Folding Mattress features a straightforward design centered around functionality and durability. The core consists of a single layer of medium-firmness foam that measures exactly 3 inches thick when fully expanded. This foam is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it meets specific standards for content, emissions, and durability while being free of heavy metals and harmful chemicals. The mattress folds neatly into thirds along pre-defined lines, creating a compact package that's approximately one-third of its unfolded size. The folding mechanism requires no special technique—users simply fold along the natural creases. The entire unit is encased in an ultra-soft removable cover that zips completely off for cleaning. Reviewers note the zippers are sturdy and operate smoothly, with no reports of breakage even after repeated use. The cover material withstands machine washing well according to multiple users, though some recommend air drying to preserve elasticity. The mattress arrives compressed and vacuum-sealed, requiring up to 48 hours to fully expand to its advertised thickness. A slight plastic odor may be present initially but dissipates quickly according to most reports. The simple color scheme (typically referred to as 'Mattress' color) makes it neutral enough for various settings.
Performance
In practical use, the Milliard Tri Folding Mattress performs well for its intended purposes. The 3-inch foam provides adequate cushioning from hard surfaces, with multiple reviewers noting they or their children sleep comfortably without feeling the floor beneath. The medium firmness strikes a balance between support and comfort, though it may feel too firm for some preferences. Temperature regulation is adequate for most indoor environments, with no reports of excessive heat retention. The folding mechanism works reliably, with users able to set up the mattress in seconds and fold it back just as quickly. Portability is a key strength—the folded dimensions make it easy to store in car trunks, closets, or under furniture. Some users report using it for pets during car travel, with the mattress providing a comfortable surface that's easier to clean than car upholstery. The removable cover performs effectively at protecting the foam core, with multiple reviewers confirming it prevented liquid from reaching the foam during accidents. Machine washing doesn't damage the cover according to user experiences, though some recommend gentle cycles. The foam maintains its shape well over time, with no significant sagging reported in reviews covering months of use. The mattress can be combined with others to create larger sleeping surfaces, as one reviewer did by pushing four together for teen sleepovers.
