SogesGame Queen Size Memory Foam Mattress - 12 Inch Cooling Gel Infused, Green Tea Mattress in a Box for Couples, Pressure Relief with Medium Support, CertiPUR-US Certified

Product Overview

The SogesGame mattress measures 80 inches long by 60 inches wide by 12 inches thick in the queen size, weighing 64 pounds. It ships compressed in a box, requiring unboxing and unrolling before expansion. The manufacturer recommends allowing up to 48 hours for full expansion, though some reviewers note it may take 3-4 days to reach complete firmness. The mattress construction consists entirely of foam layers without springs, featuring a cooling gel-infused memory foam layer designed to draw heat away from the body. The cover is made from breathable black fabric that promotes air circulation while adding aesthetic appeal. This mattress is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning the foams meet standards for durability, content, and low volatile organic compound emissions. The medium support level aims to balance cushioning for pressure points with adequate support for spinal alignment. Reviewers describe the feel as supportive without being too firm and soft without excessive sinkage. The mattress works with most standard queen bed frames and foundations. Care involves spot cleaning only, as the cover is not removable. The compressed shipping makes it manageable for single-person setup, though the 64-pound weight requires some effort when positioning. The black color coordinates with various bedroom decors while hiding minor stains better than lighter fabrics.

Design & Build

The SogesGame mattress features a 12-inch all-foam construction without springs, creating a uniform sleeping surface. The top layer incorporates cooling gel-infused memory foam designed to dissipate body heat rather than trapping it like traditional memory foam. This layer contours to the body's shape while actively managing temperature. Beneath this, high-density support foam provides the medium-firm foundation that prevents excessive sinkage. The entire foam core is CertiPUR-US certified, ensuring it meets standards for durability, content, and low emissions. The mattress arrives compressed and rolled in a box, making transportation and setup manageable for one person despite its 64-pound weight.

The breathable black fabric cover wraps the foam layers completely, featuring a sleek appearance that hides stains better than lighter colors. This cover promotes airflow to further enhance cooling but is not removable for washing, requiring spot cleaning only. The mattress edges maintain reasonable firmness for sitting on the bed's perimeter. The all-foam design eliminates metal coils that can create pressure points or transfer motion. Reviewers note minimal off-gassing odor upon unboxing, with most reporting no noticeable smell after expansion. The black color coordinates with various bedroom styles while the 12-inch profile works with most standard sheet sets and bed frames.

Performance

The cooling gel-infused memory foam performs effectively for many users, with reviewers noting improved temperature regulation compared to traditional memory foam mattresses. The gel particles help draw heat away from the body, reducing the 'sleeping hot' sensation. Combined with the breathable cover, this creates a cooler sleep surface that helps prevent night sweats. Motion isolation excels due to the all-foam construction, absorbing movement vibrations rather than transmitting them across the bed. Reviewers confirm partners can move or get up without disturbing the other sleeper, making this mattress particularly suitable for couples. The medium support level provides adequate firmness for spinal alignment while cushioning pressure points at shoulders and hips.

Temperature regulation shows some variability depending on individual sleep habits and room conditions. While the cooling gel helps, extremely hot sleepers may still experience warmth during summer months. The foam layers maintain their shape well according to reviewers, with minimal sagging reported even after months of use. Edge support is adequate for sitting but may compress more than the center when bearing weight. The mattress performs well on various bed frames including platform bases and adjustable foundations. Some reviewers note the initial expansion period requires patience, with full firmness developing over 3-4 days rather than the stated 48 hours. The foam provides consistent support without the pressure points sometimes caused by spring coils.
