Product Overview

This hybrid mattress measures 79.92 inches long by 60.24 inches wide by 12 inches thick in the queen size. It weighs approximately 81 pounds. The construction includes two main layers: a gel memory foam comfort layer and a base of 800+ pocketed coils. The cover uses a black fabric blend with a white breathable top. KISLOT markets it as having advanced 5-zone support, with 30% denser edge springs to reduce roll-off by 40%. The gel memory foam is CertiPUR-US certified and fiberglass-free. It fits most bed frames, including platforms, box springs, or even the floor. After unboxing, it typically expands within minutes but may take 24-72 hours to reach full size and off-gas any initial odor. The mattress is designed for all sleeping positions and offers motion isolation ideal for couples. Reviewers mention it feels firmer than expected when new but softens with use. The twin size version is 10 inches thick with similar features.

Design & Build

The KISLOT Hybrid Mattress features a 12-inch profile with a two-layer construction. The top layer consists of gel-infused memory foam designed to conform to the body while dissipating heat. Below that, a base of 800+ individually pocketed coils provides targeted support and motion isolation. The cover is made from a black fabric blend with a white breathable top that enhances airflow. The mattress uses high-density foam in its support layers to maintain durability and prevent sagging. Its 5-zone support system places denser coils at the edges to reduce roll-off and improve sitting stability. The materials are CertiPUR-US certified, ensuring they meet safety standards without fiberglass or harmful chemicals. Reviewers note the mattress expands quickly from its compressed box, often within minutes, though full expansion may take up to 24 hours. The black sides and white top give it a modern appearance that looks good even without sheets.

Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward. The cover is not removable, so using a mattress protector is recommended to keep it in like-new condition. The mattress is heavy at 81 pounds for the queen size, requiring a sturdy bed frame for support. It works with most frames, including platforms, box springs, or even placed directly on the floor. The gel memory foam may feel firm initially but softens with use, as noted by reviewers. The pocket coils adapt independently to body weight, reducing motion transfer between sleepers. The edge support is enhanced by denser springs, making it easier to get in and out of bed. Overall, the design prioritizes durability, cooling, and support for a wide range of sleepers.

Performance

In real-world use, the KISLOT Hybrid Mattress delivers strong motion isolation, making it suitable for couples and pet owners. Reviewers report minimal disturbance when a partner moves or pets jump on the bed. The gel memory foam provides pressure relief by conforming to the body's curves, reducing aches in hips, shoulders, and spine. The medium-firm feel offers a balance of support and comfort, though some users note it feels extra-firm when new before softening with use. The cooling design works effectively, with breathable fabric and gel foam helping to keep the surface cooler throughout the night. Reviewers mention sleeping comfortably without overheating. The mattress maintains its shape well over time, with no noticeable sagging reported in the first few months of use. Edge support is robust, thanks to the denser coils, preventing excessive sinkage when sitting or sleeping near the edges.

Temperature retention is not a primary focus, but the cooling features perform adequately for most sleepers. Condensation or sweat is minimal due to the breathable materials. The mattress shows good drop and dent resilience, with reviewers praising its build quality. Trade-offs include its weight, which makes moving difficult, and the initial firmness that may require a break-in period. Some users prefer a thicker mattress for daily use, but find this suitable for guest rooms or budget needs. The mattress fits standard queen bed frames, though its 12-inch height may require deep-pocket sheets. Overall, performance aligns with its hybrid design, offering reliable support, comfort, and durability for the price.
