Product Overview

The Novilla 14 Inch King Mattress measures 90 by 75.98 inches, conforming to U.S. standard king dimensions. It stands 14 inches tall when fully expanded, though some reviewers note slight variations in final thickness. The mattress ships compressed in a box, weighing 88 pounds for manageable handling. Unboxing involves placing it on a bed frame and allowing it to regain shape over 72 hours. The construction includes multiple foam layers: a gel-infused knit cover, open-cell foam for cooling, charcoal-infused memory foam for support, and high-density base foam. The medium-firm feel adapts to body curves without excessive sinking. Edge support is reinforced to maintain shape during sitting. The anti-slip bottom helps secure placement on various frames. Care involves using a mattress protector to maintain freshness. The grey and white color scheme offers a neutral aesthetic. It fits standard king bed frames and foundations. The mattress is designed for adult use and comes with a warranty for long-term reliability. Some users report it never quite reaches the advertised 12-inch thickness, settling around 11.5 inches instead. This does not significantly impact comfort according to reviews. The product targets spacious master bedrooms, guest rooms, and households with pets.

Design & Build

The Novilla 14 Inch King Mattress features a layered foam construction designed for comfort and durability. The top layer is a gel-infused knit cover that feels soft and breathable against the skin. Beneath it, open-cell foam enhances airflow to prevent heat buildup. The core support layer uses charcoal-infused memory foam in a wave-shaped pattern to cradle pressure points. This foam adapts to body contours while resisting moisture and odors. A high-density foam base provides foundational stability and motion isolation. The mattress measures 90 by 75.98 inches, fitting standard king bed frames. Its 14-inch profile includes reinforced edges to prevent sagging. The anti-slip bottom keeps it secure on various surfaces. The grey and white color combination offers a neat, modern appearance. The entire build uses CertiPUR-US certified foams for safety.

Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward. The cover is not removable, so using a mattress protector is recommended. The foam layers resist allergens and microbes. Unboxing involves placing the compressed mattress on a frame and allowing it to expand. Most off-gassing dissipates quickly, with many reviewers noting minimal smell. The materials feel firm yet resilient, providing balanced support. The construction prioritizes motion isolation, with dense foam absorbing movement. Edge support allows for sitting without collapse. The mattress weighs 88 pounds, making it manageable for one person to position. Over time, the foam maintains its shape without significant sinking. The design targets those needing a reliable, low-maintenance sleep surface.

Performance

The Novilla mattress delivers consistent cooling performance according to user experiences. The gel-infused cover and open-cell foam work together to regulate temperature. Many reviewers report sleeping cooler compared to traditional memory foam mattresses. The charcoal layer helps manage moisture, reducing night sweats. Motion isolation is highly effective, with partners noting minimal disturbance from movement. The medium-firm feel provides support for various sleeping positions. Back sleepers appreciate the spinal alignment, while side sleepers find pressure relief at hips and shoulders. The mattress adapts to body curves without excessive sinking. Edge support remains firm, allowing full use of the sleep surface. The foam feels durable, with no immediate signs of wear. The anti-slip bottom keeps the mattress securely in place. Overall, it performs well for couples and individuals seeking a balanced sleep experience.

Some performance trade-offs exist. A few users mention the mattress never fully reaches the advertised 12-inch thickness, settling around 11.5 inches instead. This does not affect comfort but may concern those expecting exact dimensions. The firmness is described as supportive rather than plush, which may not suit those preferring a soft feel. While cooling is effective, it may not eliminate heat entirely for very hot sleepers. The expansion process can take up to 72 hours, with corners sometimes needing extra time to fully inflate. The mattress is heavier than some alternatives, but manageable for setup. It fits most bed frames, though its king size requires ample space. Reviewers highlight its value, with many praising the comfort and support relative to the price. The performance meets expectations for a mid-range memory foam mattress.
