ROXGOX Memory Foam Trifold Mattress - Full Portable Floor Bed 6 Inch, Foldable Mat with Washable Cover, Handle & Non-Slip Bottom for RV, Travel, Camping, Yoga

Product Overview

The ROXGOX Memory Foam Trifold Mattress measures 73 inches long by 52 inches wide by 6 inches thick, offering a full-size sleeping area suitable for one adult or two children. It weighs 28 pounds, making it manageable to move but substantial enough to stay in place. The construction includes 1.5 inches of plush memory foam on top for pressure relief and 4.5 inches of supportive foam underneath for stability, creating a firm yet comfortable feel that reviewers say prevents feeling the floor. The mattress arrives vacuum-sealed and compressed, requiring 24 to 48 hours in a ventilated room to off-gas any temporary odors and 3 to 7 days to fully expand to its 6-inch thickness. The soft, breathable knit cover is removable via a zipper and machine washable, simplifying cleaning between uses. A non-slip bottom texture helps keep the mattress secure on hardwood or other smooth surfaces, while side handles aid in carrying and folding. The trifold design allows it to be stored upright or laid flat, and it can be configured as a sofa or chair when partially folded. Reviewers highlight its use in RVs, tents, living rooms, and kids' rooms, with many noting it outperforms camper beds in support. Care involves airing it out initially and washing the cover as needed; the foam itself should not be submerged. No assembly is required beyond unboxing and allowing expansion. The grey color and simple design blend with various decors, and the product is marketed for adults but used by all ages.

Design & Build

The ROXGOX mattress features a straightforward trifold design with three equal sections that fold neatly for storage or transport. It is constructed from two foam layers: a 1.5-inch top layer of memory foam and a 4.5-inch base of supportive foam, both certified safe and OEKO-TEX tested. The memory foam conforms to the body to alleviate pressure points, while the base foam provides a firm foundation that prevents bottoming out on hard floors. The entire unit is encased in a soft, breathable knit cover that zips off for machine washing, a feature reviewers appreciate for keeping the mattress fresh between uses. The cover includes side handles made of durable fabric, allowing easy carrying when folded. A non-slip textured bottom helps the mattress stay in place on smooth surfaces like hardwood or tile, reducing slippage during sleep. The grey color is neutral and discreet, fitting into various settings from bedrooms to campsites.

Maintenance is simple: the cover can be washed in a machine on a gentle cycle, and the foam should be aired out occasionally. Reviewers note that the mattress arrives tightly vacuum-sealed, requiring patience as it expands over several days to reach its full 6-inch thickness. The trifold hinges are reinforced to withstand repeated folding and unfolding, though users should avoid sharp bends to prevent foam damage. The design lacks a built-in frame or legs, so it sits directly on the floor, but the thickness provides adequate insulation from cold surfaces. Aesthetics are minimalistic, with no extra padding or embellishments, focusing on functionality. The mattress is durable enough for regular use, with reviewers reporting it holds up well under adult weight and children's play. Cleaning the foam involves spot cleaning only, as submerging could damage the material. Overall, the build prioritizes portability, ease of care, and reliable support.

Performance

In terms of comfort and support, reviewers consistently praise the mattress for its firm yet plush feel. The combination of memory foam and supportive base foam creates a surface that conforms to the body without sagging, with many users noting it alleviates back pain and provides better support than air mattresses or thinner pads. Sleepers report not feeling the floor through the 6-inch thickness, even on hard surfaces. The memory foam layer effectively reduces pressure points, making it suitable for side sleepers and those with joint issues. However, some reviewers mention it may feel too firm for those preferring a softer bed, though the top layer adds enough cushioning for most. The breathable knit cover helps regulate temperature, reducing heat buildup compared to all-foam designs, but it is not specifically marketed as cooling. In real-world use, the mattress performs well as a guest bed, with visitors often commenting on its comfort. It also serves reliably for camping or RV trips, where its portability and non-slip base are advantageous.

Durability and practical performance are highlighted in reviews. The non-slip bottom effectively prevents sliding on smooth floors, a feature appreciated in homes with hardwood or in moving vehicles. The trifold design holds up to frequent folding and unfolding, though users should avoid forcing the hinges. Reviewers note the mattress maintains its shape over time, with minimal sagging reported even after months of use. It is easy to clean thanks to the removable cover, though the foam itself should be kept dry. Condensation or sweat is minimal due to the breathable cover. The mattress is relatively heavy at 28 pounds, which aids stability but may challenge some when carrying it folded. It fits in most car trunks and storage spaces, but its full size when unfolded requires adequate floor area. Some users mention it takes several days to fully expand and lose the initial foam odor, so planning ahead is necessary. Overall, performance is reliable for its intended uses, offering a comfortable, supportive sleep surface that is versatile and easy to maintain.
