The Helix Midnight Elite is a premium hybrid mattress designed for sleepers seeking balanced comfort with enhanced cooling technology. This mattress targets individuals who prefer a medium feel that accommodates various sleeping positions, particularly back and stomach sleepers. Its core value lies in combining five high-density foam layers with a microcoil comfort layer to deliver both support and pressure relief. Standout features include advanced lumbar support, hip and shoulder contouring, and motion isolation capabilities. The mattress is constructed without fiberglass and carries GREENGUARD Gold and CertiPUR-US certifications for material safety. It ships in two boxes for easier handling and comes with a 120-night sleep trial and limited lifetime warranty, offering peace of mind for buyers investing in quality sleep.
Product Overview
The Helix Midnight Elite mattress measures 75 inches long by 54 inches wide with a 15-inch thickness, making it one of the tallest mattresses in its category. It uses a hybrid construction of gel foam and coils, specifically incorporating microcoils for enhanced responsiveness and motion isolation. The cover is made from a GlacioTex blend fabric that includes phase-change technology to regulate temperature from the moment you lie down. Fill materials consist of memory foam layers designed for pressure relief and contouring. This mattress is available in a Full size, though Helix typically offers multiple sizes; buyers should verify current options. Care instructions specify hand washing only for maintenance. The mattress is assembled in Helix's Arizona facility and ships directly to consumers in two separate boxes to facilitate delivery and setup. Its unisex adult design aims to provide universal comfort, while the reinforced edges maximize usable sleep surface for couples.

Design & Build
The Helix Midnight Elite features a 15-inch hybrid design that combines five layers of high-density foam with a separate microcoil comfort layer. This construction creates a medium feel that balances cushioning and support. The cover utilizes a GlacioTex blend fabric with phase-change technology, which actively manages temperature by absorbing and releasing heat. This material is designed for hand washing only to maintain its cooling properties. The mattress is built without fiberglass, addressing common safety concerns, and carries GREENGUARD Gold and CertiPUR-US certifications for low emissions and foam quality. Aesthetics include a streamlined profile with reinforced edges that prevent compression, maximizing the sleepable area. The mattress ships in two boxes, making it easier to transport and set up in bedrooms with limited access.
Durability is enhanced through the layered foam and microcoil system, which resists sagging and maintains structural integrity over time. The microcoils provide targeted support and improve motion isolation, reducing disturbances between sleep partners. Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward due to the removable, washable cover, though care must be taken to follow hand-wash instructions. The mattress is assembled in Helix's own facility in Arizona, ensuring quality control. Its tall profile may require deep-pocket sheets, and the two-box shipping method simplifies handling compared to bulkier single-box alternatives. The design prioritizes ergonomics with advanced lumbar support and contouring for hips and shoulders, promoting alignment and comfort throughout the night.
Performance
The Helix Midnight Elite delivers a medium feel that caters to back and stomach sleepers, with foam layers cradling the body while microcoils provide responsive support. The phase-change cooling cover regulates temperature effectively, offering immediate cooling upon contact and maintaining comfort throughout the night. This addresses a common issue with memory foam mattresses that trap heat. Motion isolation is strong due to the microcoil layer, which minimizes transfer of movement, making it suitable for couples. Edge support is reinforced, allowing sleepers to use the full surface without roll-off, enhancing usability for shared beds. The mattress's pressure relief capabilities target hips and shoulders, reducing discomfort and promoting restorative sleep. Its hybrid construction balances the contouring of foam with the bounce of coils, preventing the stuck feeling associated with all-foam designs.
In terms of durability, the high-density foam and microcoils are designed to resist sagging and maintain shape over years of use. The mattress's 15-inch height may require adjustments to bed frames or foundations, but it contributes to a luxurious, substantial feel. Condensation and sweat are mitigated by the cooling cover, which wicks moisture and promotes airflow. While no specific temperature retention data is provided, the manufacturer claims all-night cooling comfort. The mattress's weight and size may pose challenges during setup, but the two-box shipping eases this process. Trade-offs include the need for deep-pocket sheets and potential initial off-gassing, though certifications indicate low emissions. Overall, the performance focuses on balanced support, cooling, and motion isolation for a comfortable sleep experience.
