HWGEBY Memory Foam folding Mattress, 3 Inch Tri-fold Mattress with Review
The HWGEBY Memory Foam Folding Mattress is a versatile portable sleeping solution designed for temporary or space-constrained environments. This 3-inch tri-fold mattress combines the convenience of easy storage with the comfort of memory foam, making it ideal for travel, camping, RV trips, guest rooms, dormitories, or as a spare bed. Its dual-layer construction features gel-infused memory foam for pressure relief and a high-density support foam base for stability. The included washable cover with a central zipper enhances hygiene, while the compact folding design with a carrying handle and travel bag simplifies transport and storage. This mattress targets users needing an affordable, portable option that doesn't sacrifice basic comfort, though it's not intended as a permanent replacement for a traditional bed.
Product Overview
The HWGEBY folding mattress measures 78 inches in length, 38 inches in width, and 3 inches in thickness, corresponding to a Twin XL size that fits standard camping cots, RV beds, or floor spaces. It is constructed with two primary layers: a top layer of gel memory foam designed to conform to the body and reduce pressure points, and a bottom layer of higher-density support foam that provides a stable base. The mattress cover is made from knit fabric described as skin-friendly and breathable, featuring a central zipper for easy removal and machine washing. It folds into three sections for compact storage, coming with a travel bag that zips closed to protect the mattress during transport or when not in use. A carrying handle is integrated into the design for one-handed portability. The manufacturer notes it is CertiPUR-US certified, indicating the foam meets specific standards for content, emissions, and durability. While labeled as not water-resistant, the washable cover offers some protection against spills. This model is available in a white color, and it includes a 3-month warranty from the manufacturer. Users should note that the 3-inch thickness may provide less cushioning than thicker mattresses, and it is best suited for temporary use rather than everyday sleeping.

Design & Build
The HWGEBY folding mattress features a straightforward design centered on portability and basic comfort. It is constructed with a dual-layer foam system: a top layer of gel memory foam and a bottom layer of high-density support foam. The gel memory foam is intended to provide contouring relief by adapting to body shapes, while the support foam adds rigidity to prevent sagging. The entire assembly is encased in a removable knit fabric cover, which includes a central zipper for easy access. This cover is described as breathable and skin-friendly, aiming to enhance sleep comfort without causing irritation. The tri-fold mechanism allows the mattress to be divided into three equal sections, making it compact enough to fit into the included travel bag. A sturdy carrying handle is attached to one side, facilitating transport. The overall build emphasizes lightweight durability, with materials chosen for frequent folding and unfolding. However, the 3-inch thickness may limit plushness compared to thicker options.
Performance
As a portable mattress, the HWGEBY model performs adequately for temporary sleeping needs. The gel memory foam top layer offers some pressure relief by conforming to the body, which can reduce discomfort on firm surfaces like floors or cots. The high-density support foam base helps maintain a flat, stable surface, preventing excessive sinking. The breathable cover may aid in temperature regulation, though its effectiveness depends on ambient conditions. The tri-fold design ensures quick deployment and storage, with the travel bag protecting the mattress from dust and damage. However, the 3-inch profile might not provide sufficient cushioning for all users, especially those accustomed to thicker mattresses. The mattress is not water-resistant, so spills require prompt cleaning of the washable cover. Its compact size and light weight make it easy to move, but long-term durability for daily use is untested. Overall, it serves well as a space-saving solution for occasional use.
