Product Overview
The Treaton mattress is a queen-size model measuring 80 inches long by 60 inches wide by 17 inches thick, including the foundation. It weighs 70 pounds, making it manageable for setup. The construction uses pocket coils for support, which are individually wrapped to reduce motion transfer and noise. The top is a tight-top style, providing a firm, even surface without pillow tops or extra padding. The cover is made of water-resistant vinyl, designed to repel liquids and simplify cleaning with a wipe-down. The included 8-inch wood box spring foundation adds height and stability, creating a total sleep system. The mattress is available in a green color, adding a subtle aesthetic touch. Care involves regular wiping with a damp cloth to maintain the vinyl surface. Portability is moderate due to the weight, but it ships as a complete set for convenience. Design & Build
The Treaton mattress features a straightforward design centered on durability and functionality. The 9-inch profile includes pocket coils encased in a water-resistant vinyl cover, creating a tight-top surface that is firm and even. The vinyl material is thick and resilient, designed to withstand daily use without tearing or degrading. The pocket coils are individually wrapped in fabric, which helps isolate movement and reduce noise, contributing to a quiet sleep environment. The construction lacks additional comfort layers like foam or padding, focusing instead on the core support system. The mattress is paired with an 8-inch wood box spring foundation, which is built from sturdy wood slats or frames to provide a solid base. This foundation elevates the mattress to a standard bed height, improving accessibility and airflow.
Aesthetically, the mattress comes in a green color, offering a neutral option that blends with various bedroom decors. The vinyl cover has a smooth texture that is easy to wipe clean, enhancing maintenance. There are no handles or grips for moving the mattress, so setup may require assistance due to the 70-pound weight. The design prioritizes practicality over luxury, with no frills like edge support or cooling technologies. Cleaning is simple: use a damp cloth to wipe the surface, avoiding harsh chemicals that could damage the vinyl. The mattress and foundation ship together, reducing assembly steps. Overall, the build emphasizes robustness and ease of care, making it a practical choice for basic sleep needs.
Performance
The mattress performs as a medium-firm sleep surface, providing adequate support for back and stomach sleepers. The pocket coil system offers responsive cushioning that adapts to body weight, reducing pressure points without excessive sinkage. The water-resistant vinyl cover effectively repels liquids, preventing moisture from seeping into the coils and causing damage. This feature is beneficial for spill-prone areas, such as children's rooms or guest spaces. The noise-free design holds up well, with minimal squeaking from the coils during movement, ensuring a quiet sleep experience. The tight-top construction maintains a consistent feel across the surface, avoiding lumps or dips that can develop over time. The included wood foundation adds stability, preventing sagging and extending the mattress's lifespan.
In terms of durability, the vinyl cover resists scratches and stains, maintaining its appearance with regular cleaning. The pocket coils are designed to retain their shape, supporting long-term use without significant compression. There is no data on temperature regulation or insulation, so performance in hot or cold conditions is unspecified. The mattress may feel firm to side sleepers or those preferring plush surfaces, as it lacks soft comfort layers. The weight of 70 pounds makes it stable on the foundation but challenging to move alone. No reviewer feedback is available to confirm real-world experiences, so performance claims are based solely on manufacturer specifications. Overall, it delivers on its promises of water resistance, easy cleaning, and quiet operation, suited for straightforward sleep needs.
