Product Overview

The Sweetnight 12 Inch King Mattress is a memory foam mattress measuring 80 inches long by 76 inches wide by 12 inches thick. It weighs 69.67 pounds and supports up to 450 pounds. The mattress features a two-layer construction with high-density memory foam, designed for durability and long-term use. It comes in a king size with a white color and pillow-top style. The removable cotton cover is soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic, helping to keep sleepers cool. The mattress is fire retardant and has low motion transfer, reducing disturbances from partner movement. It arrives compressed in a box, expanding quickly after unboxing; many reviewers report full expansion within 24 to 48 hours, though some note it may take up to 72 hours or longer. The medium-firm firmness is intended to provide pressure relief and support, but some users find it softer or firmer than expected. Care involves spot cleaning the cover and allowing the foam to air out initially. The mattress is not portable or foldable once expanded. It fits standard king-size bed frames, but some reviewers mention slight size variations during expansion. The model name is SN-M01905, and it is designed for adult use. Overall, it offers a straightforward sleep solution with emphasis on comfort and ease of setup.

Design & Build

The Sweetnight 12 Inch King Mattress features a straightforward design centered on memory foam comfort. It has a two-layer construction with high-density memory foam, providing a balance of support and cushioning. The top layer is designed for pressure relief, contouring to the body's shape to reduce stress on joints. The base layer adds stability and durability, ensuring the mattress maintains its form over time. The cover is made of soft, removable cotton, which is breathable and hypoallergenic, helping to regulate temperature and prevent allergen buildup. The mattress has a pillow-top style, offering a plush surface without additional padding. It is fire retardant, meeting safety standards, and has low motion transfer, making it suitable for shared sleeping. The overall build emphasizes simplicity and functionality, with no extra frills like built-in cooling gels or zoning.

Aesthetics are minimal, with a white color that fits most bedroom decors. The mattress arrives compressed in a box, making it easy to transport and set up. Once unboxed, it expands to its full 12-inch thickness, though reviewers note expansion times vary from 24 hours to several days. The removable cover allows for easy cleaning, but the foam core should not be washed. Durability is supported by the high-density foam, but some users report issues with edge support, where the sides may sink. The mattress is not portable or foldable after expansion, requiring careful placement. Maintenance involves regular rotation and spot cleaning. Overall, the design prioritizes comfort and convenience, though build consistency may vary based on user experiences.

Performance

The Sweetnight mattress performs well in pressure relief and motion isolation, according to many reviewers. The medium-firm memory foam effectively cradles the body, reducing pressure points in areas like shoulders and hips. This can lead to improved sleep quality, especially for side and back sleepers. Motion transfer is low, meaning partners are less likely to feel each other's movements, which enhances sleep for couples. The breathable cotton cover helps with temperature regulation, keeping sleepers cool, though some may still experience warmth typical of memory foam. The mattress expands quickly after setup, with most users reporting full inflation within 48 hours, but a few note it may not reach the advertised 12-inch height or could take longer. Edge support is a common concern, as some reviewers find the sides sink easily, affecting usability for sitting or sleeping near the edge.

In terms of firmness, the mattress is marketed as medium-firm, but experiences vary. Some users describe it as firm and supportive, while others find it too soft or plush, which may not suit those needing firmer support for back pain. The durability of the high-density foam is generally good, but long-term performance depends on usage and weight capacity. The mattress handles weights up to 450 pounds, but heavier individuals might experience more sinking. Condensation or sweat is minimal due to the breathable cover. There are no specific claims about temperature retention, as it is not an insulated product. Trade-offs include potential off-gassing initially and the need for a solid foundation to prevent sagging. Overall, performance is satisfactory for its price point, though inconsistencies in expansion and firmness are noted by some reviewers.
