Greaton, 9" Euro Top Innerspring Mattress – Medium Comfort Review
The Greaton Eurotop Innerspring Mattress is a 9-inch thick mattress designed for sleepers who prefer traditional innerspring support with a medium-firm feel. It features a 1¼-inch quilted Euro-top layer that provides initial cushioning while maintaining the responsive support of 352 Bonnell coils. This mattress is constructed as a one-sided design, meaning it should not be flipped, and comes ready to use with no assembly required. The breathable construction aims to promote airflow and temperature regulation throughout the night. With its straightforward innerspring design and Euro-top comfort layer, this mattress targets budget-conscious buyers seeking reliable support without advanced foam or hybrid technologies. The white quilted cover adds a clean aesthetic that works with most bedroom décors.
Product Overview
This Greaton mattress measures 80 inches long by 60 inches wide by 9 inches thick in the Queen size, with a total weight of 45 pounds. The construction centers on 352 Bonnell coils that provide traditional innerspring support, known for their durability and consistent firmness. A 1¼-inch quilted Euro-top layer sits above the coils, offering a plush surface that contours lightly without deep sinkage. The Euro-top is integrated into the mattress rather than added as a separate pillow-top, creating a smoother profile. The mattress uses a one-sided design, so it should only be used with the Euro-top facing upward. Materials include steel coils for the support core and quilted fabric for the top layer, though specific fiber contents are not detailed. The breathable construction allows air circulation to help prevent heat buildup. Care involves using a mattress protector and spot cleaning only, as the cover is not removable. No foundation or box spring is included, so buyers need to provide their own compatible bed frame. The mattress arrives compressed and rolled for easier handling, expanding to full size once unpacked. Its medium firmness makes it suitable for back and stomach sleepers who need spinal alignment, though side sleepers might find it too firm without additional padding. The traditional innerspring design offers edge-to-edge support without significant motion isolation, which could be a consideration for couples.

Design & Build
The Greaton Eurotop Innerspring Mattress features a straightforward design centered on traditional steel coil construction. The support core uses 352 Bonnell coils arranged in a grid pattern, providing firm, responsive support that minimizes sinkage. Bonnell coils are interconnected, offering consistent push-back and edge support. Above the coils, a 1¼-inch quilted Euro-top layer adds cushioning. This Euro-top is integrated directly into the mattress, creating a seamless surface without the bulk of a separate pillow-top. The quilted top uses a breathable fabric cover that is not removable, so spot cleaning is recommended. The entire mattress is 9 inches thick, making it a mid-profile option suitable for most bed frames. The one-sided design means the Euro-top must always face upward, simplifying maintenance but limiting rotation options. Aesthetics include a clean white quilted cover with simple stitching, fitting neutral bedroom styles. The mattress weighs 45 pounds in Queen size, manageable for one person to position. Durability relies on the steel coils' resistance to sagging and the quilted top's resilience to compression. No handles or grips are included, so lifting requires grasping the sides. The compressed shipping reduces box size but does not affect long-term performance.
Performance
This mattress delivers traditional innerspring performance with a medium-firm feel. The 352 Bonnell coils provide firm support that maintains spinal alignment, particularly for back and stomach sleepers. The Euro-top adds initial softness, reducing pressure points on shoulders and hips compared to firmer innerspring models. However, the cushioning is minimal, so side sleepers might find it too firm without a topper. Motion isolation is limited due to the interconnected coils, meaning movement on one side can be felt across the mattress. This could affect couples with different sleep schedules. Edge support is strong, allowing use of the full mattress surface without roll-off. Temperature regulation benefits from the breathable quilted top and open coil design, promoting airflow to prevent heat buildup. The mattress retains its shape well, with the coils resisting sagging over time. The one-sided design means wear concentrates on the top, but the durable construction aims for long-term use. Setup is simple, with the mattress expanding to full size within hours. No off-gassing issues are reported, as it lacks foam layers. The medium firmness balances support and comfort for average-weight sleepers, though heavier individuals might desire more cushioning. Overall, it performs as a basic, reliable innerspring mattress without advanced features.
