Westin Heavenly Bed - Signature Hotel Mattress of Westin Hotels - Pocket Review

The Westin Heavenly Bed is a signature hotel mattress now available for home purchase. Developed in partnership with sleep experts and incorporating guest feedback, this mattress aims to deliver deep, restorative sleep. It features a multi-layer construction with temperature-regulating gel-infused foam and individually pocketed coils. The design targets sleepers seeking hotel-quality comfort with enhanced cooling technology and pressure relief. Available in multiple sizes, it comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Reviewers note it differs from older hotel versions, with many finding the current model significantly firmer than expected.

Product Overview

The Westin Heavenly Bed is a conventional mattress with a 13.25-inch height in the King size. Its construction includes gel-infused foam layers and individually pocketed coils. The foam layers are designed to stimulate airflow for a cooler sleep experience. The pocketed coils aim to relieve pressure points and reduce motion transfer. A silver fiber weave in the cover provides natural defenses and helps pull heat away from the body. The mattress is available in Cal King, King, Queen, and Full sizes. It offers both standard and low-profile box spring height options. Care instructions specify dry cleaning only. The frame material is wood, and it requires no assembly. Reviewers mention the mattress feels very firm, with some using multiple toppers to increase comfort. The manufacturer states it has a medium firmness rating, but users report it feels closer to a 9 or 10 on the firmness scale. It is made in the USA and backed by a 10-year warranty.

Design & Build

The Westin Heavenly Bed features a 13.25-inch tall construction with a white cover. The cover uses a silver fiber weave that provides natural defenses and helps wick heat away. Underneath, gel-infused foam layers incorporate air pockets to promote airflow. These foam layers rest atop individually pocketed coils. The coils are designed to distribute weight evenly and reduce motion transfer. The mattress has a wood frame and requires no assembly. Care instructions specify dry cleaning only. The design aims for a hotel-grade aesthetic with practical cooling and support features.

Reviewers note the build quality appears durable, but many report the mattress feels very firm. Some users mention using two toppers to make it feel comfier. The pocketed coil system is intended to relieve pressure points, but firmness may affect this for some sleepers. The silver fiber cover is praised for its cooling properties in manufacturer descriptions. The mattress is heavy at 50 pounds for the King size, which may affect setup. Overall, the design focuses on cooling technology and structured support through layered materials.

Performance

The mattress aims to provide a cool sleep experience through its silver fiber cover and gel-infused foam. Manufacturer claims suggest these materials pull heat away and regulate temperature. The pocketed coils target pressure relief and minimal motion transfer. However, reviewers consistently report the mattress feels much firmer than expected. Some describe it as a 9 or 10 on the firmness scale, contrasting with the manufacturer's medium rating. This firmness may impact pressure relief for some users. Those accustomed to softer hotel versions note disappointment, with several adding toppers for comfort.

Cooling performance is highlighted in manufacturer materials, but user reviews do not extensively comment on temperature regulation. The pocketed coils likely reduce motion transfer as designed. Durability appears solid with a 10-year warranty, though long-term performance data is limited. The firm feel may suit sleepers preferring very firm support, but it deviates from the plush comfort associated with earlier hotel models. Overall, performance centers on firm support and cooling features, with variability in comfort perception.

Major Letdown with Mattress Firmness
I purchased a king-size mattress in September 2025, advertised with a medium firmness rating of 5. However, it feels much firmer, around a 9 or 10, leading to significant disappointment. I'm unsure what to do with it now.
Updated mattress version is significantly firmer than hotel models.
I purchased this mattress because I enjoyed the comfort of Westin hotel mattresses in the past. However, the current version differs from those used in hotels. The hotel mattresses were soft, comfortable, and relaxing, allowing me to sleep soundly. In contrast, the one I received has a different top layer and is much firmer. I've added two mattress toppers to improve comfort, but it still feels quite firm.
