Vipbear Folding Mattress - 6 Inch Tri-fold Full Size Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Washable Cover, Floor Bed for RV Camping & Home Use

Product Overview

This Vipbear mattress measures 75 inches long by 54 inches wide by 6 inches thick when fully expanded, making it a standard full-size sleeping surface. The construction features a dual-layer foam system with 2 inches of gel aerofusion memory foam on top and 4 inches of high-density support foam at the base. This combination aims to provide contouring comfort while preventing bottoming out. The mattress folds into three equal sections along pre-scored lines, reducing its footprint to approximately one-third of its expanded size for storage. It comes with a durable storage bag that facilitates organization in closets, under beds, or vehicle compartments. The zippered mattress cover is fully removable and machine washable, featuring jacquard fabric with advanced ventilation technology for enhanced breathability. The gold-embellished white cover adds aesthetic appeal while maintaining skin-friendly contact. The non-slip bottom helps keep the mattress secure on hard floors or tent surfaces. At 30 pounds, it offers manageable portability for most adults. The mattress arrives vacuum-sealed in a box and requires adequate time for full expansion in a well-ventilated area before use.

Design & Build

The Vipbear folding mattress employs a practical tri-fold design that divides the 75-inch length into three approximately 25-inch sections. This folding mechanism uses pre-scored foam lines that allow consistent folding without damaging the internal structure. The dual-layer foam construction combines 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam with 4 inches of high-density support foam, creating a 6-inch total profile that balances contouring comfort with foundational support. The memory foam layer incorporates gel aerofusion technology designed to enhance breathability and temperature regulation. The high-density base foam provides reinforced support to prevent bottoming out, particularly important for heavier users. The entire foam assembly is CertiPUR-US certified, indicating it meets standards for content, emissions, and durability without harmful chemicals.

The removable cover features jacquard fabric with OEKO-TEX certification, ensuring it contains no harmful substances and provides skin-friendly contact. The gold-embellished white design adds aesthetic appeal while the advanced ventilation technology promotes air circulation. A full-length zipper allows complete removal for machine washing, simplifying maintenance. The non-slip bottom uses textured material to increase friction against floor surfaces, preventing unwanted movement during use. The included storage bag is constructed from durable material with handles, facilitating transport and compact storage. The mattress maintains its shape through repeated folding and unfolding cycles according to manufacturer claims. At 30 pounds, it offers manageable weight for most adults to move between locations.

Performance

Reviewers report the mattress provides substantial comfort improvement over sleeping directly on hard surfaces. The 6-inch profile with dual-layer foam offers adequate support for various body types, with one reviewer noting their 180-pound husband found it comfortable during camping use. The gel-infused memory foam conforms to body contours to relieve pressure points, while the high-density base prevents the feeling of bottoming out. The non-slip bottom performs effectively on hard floors and tent surfaces, keeping the mattress securely in place during sleep. The breathable cover with ventilation technology helps regulate temperature and reduce heat buildup, though specific temperature regulation claims are not quantified in available data. The tri-fold design allows quick deployment and compact storage, with reviewers confirming easy folding into the included storage bag.

Durability appears satisfactory for portable mattress applications, with the foam retaining its shape through folding cycles according to manufacturer claims. The machine-washable cover maintains its integrity through cleaning cycles, though long-term wash durability data is limited. The mattress expands fully after unboxing when given adequate time in a well-ventilated area. Some users might find the 6-inch profile less supportive than traditional thicker mattresses for regular bed use, but it performs well for its intended temporary applications. The 30-pound weight makes it portable for most adults, though some might find it slightly cumbersome for frequent transport. The full-size dimensions provide adequate sleeping space for single adults or children, fitting standard full-size bedding when used as a floor bed.
