Helix Dawn Luxe Mattress - Queen Size with GlacioTex Cooling, 13.5" Thick, Medium-Firm Support, Hybrid Design for Back Pain Relief

Product Overview

The Helix Dawn Luxe Mattress features a 13-layer hybrid construction that combines pocketed coils with premium foam materials. The queen size measures 80 inches long by 60 inches wide with a 13.5-inch thickness, weighing 106 pounds. The mattress uses a Euro Top design with a white and black color scheme. The construction includes up to 1,000 individually wrapped steel coils that provide targeted zoned lumbar support while limiting motion transfer. The reinforced perimeter cradles sleepers and prevents roll-off. The cooling system centers on the GlacioTex Cooling Cover, which feels cool to the touch and helps dissipate body heat. The mattress is fiberglass-free, GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions, and uses CertiPUR-US certified foams. Helix offers customization options for this model, allowing buyers to adjust certain features to their preferences. The mattress ships compressed in a box directly from Helix's Arizona facility, making delivery straightforward despite the mattress's substantial weight. While not portable or foldable once expanded, the boxed delivery simplifies getting the mattress into the bedroom. The firm feel makes it particularly suitable for adults who sleep on their back or stomach and need consistent support throughout the night.

Design & Build

The Helix Dawn Luxe Mattress features a sophisticated 13-layer hybrid construction that combines multiple materials for optimal performance. The foundation consists of up to 1,000 individually wrapped pocketed coils that provide zoned support, with reinforced edges that prevent sagging and create a stable sleeping surface. Above the coil system, premium foam layers create a firm yet responsive feel that contours to the body without excessive sinkage. The Euro Top design adds a plush surface layer while maintaining the underlying firm support structure. The entire mattress is wrapped in a GlacioTex Cooling Cover that feels cool to the touch and helps regulate temperature throughout the night.

The mattress measures 13.5 inches thick in queen size, with dimensions of 80 by 60 inches and a weight of 106 pounds. The construction uses only certified materials, including GREENGUARD Gold certified components for low emissions and CertiPUR-US certified foams that meet strict content standards. The mattress is completely fiberglass-free, eliminating concerns about fiber shedding. The white and black color scheme provides a clean, modern appearance that works with various bedroom décors. While the mattress ships compressed in a box for delivery convenience, it is not designed to be portable or foldable once expanded. The substantial weight requires careful handling during setup.

Performance

The Helix Dawn Luxe Mattress delivers firm support specifically engineered for back and stomach sleepers. Reviewers report the targeted zone lumbar support effectively maintains spinal alignment, reducing pressure points in the lower back. The firm feel, rated 8-9 out of 10, provides substantial support without the excessive sinkage that can cause discomfort for some sleepers. The hybrid construction with pocketed coils offers responsive support that adapts to body movements while minimizing motion transfer between sleep partners. The reinforced perimeter creates a stable edge that prevents roll-off and maintains consistent support across the entire sleep surface.

The GlacioTex Cooling Cover performs as advertised, providing a cool-to-the-touch surface that helps regulate sleep temperature. Reviewers note the cooling effect helps prevent overheating during the night. The mattress's 13-layer construction creates a balanced feel that combines the pressure relief of foam with the support of coils. While the firm profile may be too substantial for side sleepers or those who prefer plush surfaces, back and stomach sleepers appreciate the consistent support. The mattress maintains its structure well over time according to manufacturer claims, with the limited lifetime warranty providing protection against defects. The substantial weight of 106 pounds in queen size requires proper support from the bed frame.
